11 Questions Tag


I was recently tagged by Stephanie to complete the 11 questions tag:

1. You must post these rules.
2. Each person must post 11 things about themselves on their blog.
3. Answer the questions the tagger set for you in their post, and create 11 new questions for the people you tag to answer.

11 things about myself:

My answers to Stephanie's questions:

1. Who is your hero?
This is a difficult one.. I guess my parents? They've been through so much just to bring us all up and provide for our needs.

2. What is your favourite quote?
I'm a sucker for good quotes, but one of my favourites is by Maya Angelou:

'I've learned that people will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel.' 

3. What is your stance on religion? Do you affiliate yourself with any?
I would classify myself as agnostic. I don't believe that there is a God, but I don't know for sure that there isn't - unless I actually encounter Him, I don't think I'll actually believe that He exists. I do, however, respect all religions and enjoy learning about them all - I love having in depth conversations with my religious friends to find out more about the way their religion works, as well as the way they think. I like debating the existence of God. I just don't like it when people pressure you to believe in their God or practice their religion. If you're entitled to believe in something, then why aren't I allowed to NOT believe in something? I don't think there's a right or wrong when it comes to religion - it all comes down to personal opinion. Personal opinion is one's perspective. And perspective is never right or wrong. 

4. What is your most treasured memory?
Several, involving the people I love.

5. Do you speak any other languages besides English?
Yes, Cantonese and amateur Mandarin.

6. Tell us something you feel strongly about.
Charity is something that I feel quite strongly about. Does it count? I just feel that if you're in a position where you can help someone else, then you should. Too many people are out for themselves (I'm such a pessimist, I know :|) I just don't understand. If you have the ability to help someone less fortunate than yourself, then why don't you? They didn't necessarily choose to be in that situation. Some people argue that adults in Third World countries shouldn't be allowed to have children because they bring them into a world of suffering. Who are you to judge what these people can and can't do? It's easy for you to say from a position of comfort, but I'm pretty sure in environments like those, family matters more than anything - because they are literally all you have.

7. Where do you see yourself in 5 years time?
- Hopefully doing a job that I enjoy, with a stable income. 
- Still keeping in touch with the people that I talk to now. 
- Hopefully in a good relationship, with someone that I see a future with. 
- Still hanging out and having jokes with my siblings. 
- Spending valuable time with my parents. 

It's actually pretty scary how fast five years is going to pass. I'm going to look back at this blog and probably laugh at my own naivety and innocence. 

8. What is your biggest pet peeve?
People who only talk to you when they want something, and just forget your existence otherwise.

9. What are you most scared about?
Losing the people I love, not knowing what I want from life, and just drifting through life aimlessly for the rest of forever.

10. PC or MAC?
I own a PC. I like Windows. Vista is rubbish though. I hate Vista.

11. Why did you decide to make a blog?
I've always had a blog for as long as I can remember - it just wasn't public. I never used to blog so openly, but when I stumbled upon some make up blogs, I thought it would be interesting to set up my own and share my experiences and opinions on products. All the blogs that I had read reviews from had been so helpful, I just wanted to add to the community and contribute with my own thoughts. To be honest, my blog is really just posts on anything that I want to post about. I guess I'm just not focused enough to only blog about make up and outfits. I respect all the bloggers who manage to blog at least once a week, especially so specifically - I know time is always short, especially as most of us are students, and inspiration or motivation is always hard to come by. I guess blogging has made me appreciate other bloggers more too.

Pudsey Inspired Nail Art

Just a quick update to let you know that I am still, in fact, alive. At least one deadline (+) per week does not leave me much time to do the things I enjoy T_T

My new course involves a lot of food safety, which means I can't wear rings or nail varnish most of the time. Seeing as I don't need to be in the food hall until next Friday, I've decided to bring you all a brand new NOTW.

In fact, I'm so on it that I decided to do a picture tutorial. It's really easy, so I guess you could say I was lazy too.

As I'm helping fundraise for Children In Need on campus tomorrow, I've done some Pudsey inspired 'nail art' - I'd hardly call it art, but hey.

Pretty self explanatory, right?

I used a dotting tool that I got from HK for the coloured spots. I managed to chip my nails whilst I cooked dinner and washed up. What a fail.
